Before it became a conference, it was personal.

For much of my life, I’ve been known by my connection to someone else.

Pastor Bryan’s wife. Audrey’s daughter. A leader. A business owner. A woman wearing many hats and carrying many responsibilities.

And while I am grateful for every relationship, opportunity, and responsibility God has entrusted to me, somewhere along the way, I began asking myself a question:

Who am I beyond the titles I carry?

Not because those titles were burdens, but because I realized how easy it was to become comfortable being identified by what I do, who I am connected to, and what others expect of me.

I could confidently show up for others, support their visions, encourage their dreams, and help them fulfill their assignments. But when it came to fully embracing what God has placed inside of me, I sometimes found myself shrinking.

Hiding behind what was familiar.

Remaining comfortable in the background.

And sometimes allowing fear, insecurity, and the expectations of others to speak louder than what God had already said about me.

But God began challenging the way I saw myself.

I had to confront the reality that I could honor my husband, love my family, serve faithfully, and fulfill my responsibilities without losing sight of the individual purpose God had given me.

My titles are part of my story, but they are not the foundation of my identity.

God has identified me as His daughter.

I came to the realization that I don’t have to wait until I feel completely confident, qualified, or ready to walk in what God was calling me to do. I simply need to be willing.

The Birth of Identififed Daughter

Identified Daughter wasn’t born because I had finally figured everyting out.

It was born because I was learning to stop shrinking.

I began thinking about how many other women might be navigating that same struggle. Women who faithfully show up for everyone else but quietly question their own purpose. Women who are known by their responsibilites but are still discovering who they are. Women who have dreams, gifts, and assignments they’ve tucked away because of fear, comparision, or the comfort of remaining unseen.

I wanted to create something that would remind us that we are more than what we do, what we’ve experienced, or what others have called us.

We are daughters of God.

And there is purpose attached to our lives.

Identified Daughter is an invitation to discover that truth, embrace it, and begin living from it.
